There are several levels of support and review to check or strengthen your existing risk control arrangements, here’s an overview
Survey of Your Premises
This survey is to identify any issues of Fire, Security and Health and Safety. It generally takes, around 2 hours and includes a general brief fact find interview. After the survey you will receive a report with photographs of any issues or defects with prioritised suggestions and solutions for remedying the situation. You will be made aware of why there is in an issue, be it a breach of legislation, insurance policy warranty, code of practice or simply good practice. Your survey and results are fully confidential and for your use only.
Snap Inspections
If you do already your own formal inspections, this shorter assessment of your premises, taking an outside perspective, is useful to show staff that an external review of your premises is being carried out. This is external review and inspection process, helps the maintenance of procedures and controls. Being a totally ‘fresh pair of eyes’ can often spot any issues and be used to follow up on risk improvements. This inspection tour of your premises usually takes around half hour and will be followed up by an on site verbal review or a letter detailing any issues raised.
Full Documentation Reviews
This is a thorough process that takes most of the day to complete as it involves a full survey, as described above, and a very thorough inspection of all your Health & Safety and Fire Risk Assessment documentation to ensure compliance. Your final report will be completely confidential and for your use only.
Insurance Survey Support
When undertaking any insurance surveys Cowens can offer you qualified support during your survey and, if necessary, negotiate with the insurance company surveyor to achieve clarity and solutions on site so that you have no nasty surprises later.
